'urban luxury' mid-weight cotton knit - black

From deadstock of the American brand synonymous with "urban luxury", this is a fine quality medium weight cotton knit. Despite its knit construction, this fabric is quite stable and has just 10% stretch in the width only. With it's dry, more firm hand and versatile medium weight, this knit feels substantial but not bulky. It is opaque with body in the drape and could be sewn up as a base garment or for layering. Sew designer-quality basics including tops, tees, cardigans, dresses and skirts. The weight and drape are especially well-suited for styles like a fisherman's sweater, a vented or boxy cropped sweater (think Everlane or Eileen Fisher), etc. Hand or machine wash gentle, in cool water and lay flat to dry. Note the additional width!
